First Forum of Cultural and Creative Industries of China and CEEC 16+1 "Our Common Future: Creative Industries and Cultural Trade", held in Belgrade 2016


The Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China in cooperation with the National Institute for Cultural Development of Beijing University for International Studies organized the First Forum of Cultural and Creative Industries of China and Central and Eastern European Countries "Our Common Future: Creative Industries and Cultural Trade ", June 5-6, 2016. The forum was opened by the Minister of Information Ivan Tasovac and the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Serbia, H.E. Li Manchang at the Palace of Serbia. The first forum of the cultural and creative industries of China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe (16 + 1) brought together experts in the fields of cultural policy, film and television, performing arts, creative design, animation and online games, cultural tourism and museums and galleries, which exchanged experiences on the development of the cultural and creative industries and explored the potential for future cooperation.

The Chinese delegation consisted of 19 experts, members of the Chinese academic community and Chinese industry, led by Li Xiaomu, Vice-President of Beijing University for International Studies.The forum brought together over 100 participants.

The Forum discussed current and new tendencies of cooperation between the cultural and creative industries, as well as the promotion of cultural tourism and cooperation with museums and galleries.

During the closing ceremony, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the National Academic Institutes for Cultural Exchange of China and the Institute for the Study of Cultural Development, a document signed for the first time by the People's Republic of China with a European country.
